Community Futures Peace Liard offers an incredible amenity to small business owners and our northern community. From our very first conversation with the Dawson Creek team back in 2018, right up until now (and through the COVD-19 pandemic), the team at Community Futures has stood by us and helped our business grow.

It has been a pleasure to work with Community Futures and we have never felt so supported to succeed. We have been given the tools and opportunities we need to diversify our business and thrive in a time when so many other businesses are struggling.

The Meat Doctor has been able to prepare and deliver over 2000 frozen meals to people in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. These meals have gone to neighbouring indigenous communities, low income seniors and families in need. The frozen meal program has helped so many people though a hard time and demonstrated how a community can come together in the hard times to support one another.

This demonstration of community support and believing in local entrepreneurs is what we see Community Futures doing everyday. They have supported us to create a successful business that an entire community has benefited from.
