As a business owner in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, since 2005, the COVID pandemic has hit SO MANY BUSINESSES, VERY HARD, ours included!!! When closures started happening, we were struggling to meet all of our obligations, as were some of the businesses that lease space from us. With having to utilize the CEBA government funding set up for leases to be able to keep their rental spaces at a reduced rate, our business had to take an additional hit that made things even more difficult. Our local Community Futures – Peace Liard branch went above and beyond to help us out. Not only did they help us in giving us several avenues to check into and possibly utilize, but they helped us with filling out forms, filing and submitting forms to the appropriate places and then following up with us a few times to see, not only how our business was doing, but to see how WE (the business owners) were doing. We were EXTREMELY GRATEFUL and look forward to continuing our relationship with Community Futures and their AMAZING staff!!!
