Dustin Bodnaryk, Chair
Dustin is currently the General Manager for Oakview Group at the Ovintiv Events Centre a 4,500 seat multi-events centre and arena located in Dawson Creek, BC, and has been in this role since 2019.
Dustin’s background is in event management, destination marketing and guest experience. Dustin first arrived in Dawson Creek in 2007 to assume the role as Tourism Development Coordinator and manage the day to day operations of Tourism Dawson Creek, including visitor services, research, marketing, and product development. Between 2012 – 2015, Dustin worked for an international marketing agency where he worked with different Destination Marketing Organizations in Canada, United States, and Australia. Dustin has been with Oakview Group since 2015.
Dustin holds a Bachelor of Tourism Management, and minor in Recreation from Vancouver Island University and has completed graduate studies in Destination Management and Tourism Leadership from Royal Roads University.
Dustin was born and grew up in Saskatchewan and enjoys travelling the world, road trips, fishing, and playing golf.

Kate Hustak, Treasurer
Born and raised in Dawson Creek, Kate appreciates this community and how those who are a part of it, make building business and raising families such important aspects of their lives. Afterall, small business is the backbone of our country and the main contributor to its success.
Kate started with the firm in 2006 as an accounting technician and later completed the Advanced Certificate in Accounting (ACIA) program through the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of BC. Continuing her schooling, Kate earned her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2014 and became a partner in Core Partners in 2019. She enjoys the challenges of her career and the constant learning opportunities it brings.
Although her family keeps her busy, Kate likes to give back to her community and currently serves on the board of directors for the Dawson Creek & District Hospital Foundation and Community Futures Peace Liard. She’s also involved in various volunteer activities involving the lives of her children. Giving back to the community is very important to her.
In her downtime, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband, Dustin and their four children, camping and enjoying family time.
Lilia Hansen, Board Member
Lilia Hansen is the Mayor of the City of Fort St. John. She was born in Dawson Creek and raised in the Peace Region, calling Fort St. John home since the early 1970s. In addition to full-time mayor duties, Lilia is an appointed director of the Peace River Regional District (PRRD), North Peace Airport Society, Community Futures Peace Liard, North Peace Senior Housing Society, and past Fort St. John Library board member.
After being elected Mayor in October 2022, Lilia stepped down as a Provincial Business Advisor for northeast BC with the Export Navigator program. Before that, Lilia enjoyed serving five years as the Executive Director of the Fort St. John & District Chamber of Commerce. She left this position at the end of 2018 to focus full-time on council duties after being re-elected to City Council for a full 4-year term following being first elected in a by-election in 2017. She continues to proudly advocate for her community at all government levels.
Additional past work history includes administrative roles supporting the RCMP, and Ministry of Environment, ending her tenure as the Regional Program Admin Support (RPAS) Section Head of offices in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, and Fort Nelson – supporting Conservation Officer Service, BC Parks, Fish & Wildlife, and Environmental Protection divisions.
Her personal business background includes owning an oilfield contracting business with her husband, real estate investment, and property management.
Her passion for community service includes being involved with the Sunrise Rotary Club since 2010, holding director and officer positions. She has been recognized for service by being awarded Rotarian of the Year in 2012 & 2017. She credits her achievements to strong mentors, family support, and those she has worked with.
Lilia has been married to her husband Ron for over 34 years and enjoys spending family time with their golden retrievers
Robin Holstein, Board Member
Robin, owner and operator of RG Strategies (established 2002) specializes in Business to Business marketing, communications, and advertising. Robin has been a long-time member of the business community in the Peace Region for more than 30 years.
She has been the driving force behind many different projects and organizations over the years, and her hard work continues to build new projects in many different communities. Alongside her work with many local municipalities, organizations, and businesses, she continues to support the tourism industry with her Alaska Highway travel guide.
Working with the Northern Trails Historical Society, as Vice-Chair, Robin has also enjoyed being closely involved in developing local Circle Tours and other projects, which promote visitation to our local museums, archives and historical points of interest.
Robin now joins Community Futures as a Director, where she is excited to use her many years of experience to help support other businesses and entrepreneurs here in the Peace Region.
Adam Rolick, Board Member

With 20 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry, I’ve worn many hats that have shaped my growth and learning. However, my true passion lies in creating meaningful connections that benefit our local communities.
As a proud parent, I anticipate raising my son in this beautiful region, instilling in him the values of community and stewardship.
Now, as a Director of the Community Futures Board, I’m excited to contribute my expertise and help shape a brighter future for our community.
Ryan MacIvor, Board Member
MacIvor is currently the General Manager of Community Services for the City of Dawson Creek; where he leads the departmental activities, budget and direction of a dynamic team where he oversees the Recreation and Culture, Parks, Aquatics, City Facilities, Tourism, Emergency Management, and Climate Resiliency departments. Previously, Ryan was the General Manager for OVG at the Moose Jaw Events Centre; a WHL Arena, 8 sheet curling facility and conference centre and General Manager at the Ovintiv Events Centre in Dawson Creek.
